> Daniel Doubrovkine (aka dB.) is an entrepreneur, technologist, and open-source enthusiast. He earned a degree in Computer Science from the University of Geneva in the late 1990s, founded two tech startups, and moved to the U.S. to join Microsoft. Daniel later became the first CTO at [Artsy.net](https://artsy.net), a founding Principal Engineer of [OpenSearch](https://opensearch.org/) (a fork of Elasticsearch) at [AWS](https://aws.amazon.com/), created the Augmented Engineering team at [Shopify](https://shopify.engineering/), and [currently](https://www.linkedin.com/in/dblock) leads the Azure Developer Experience organization at [Microsoft](https://www.microsoft.com). He lives in New York City, maintains several popular [open-source projects](https://github.com/dblock), and is a [lifelong artist](https://art.dblock.org).
